Story Summary
In a divided world teetering on the edge of war, the nations of Westalis and Ostania maintain an uneasy peace maintained through espionage and secrecy. To prevent catastrophic conflict, Westalis assigns its greatest spy — known only as Twilight — to a classified mission called Operation Strix.
The objective is deceptively simple: get close to Ostania’s powerful political figure Donovan Desmond. The problem? Desmond only appears at elite school events.
Twilight’s solution is drastic. Assuming the identity of Loid Forger, he adopts a young girl named Anya and enters a fake marriage with Yor Briar, creating a family designed to infiltrate high society.
