Story Summary

The kingdom of Liones has fallen under the control of corrupt Holy Knights, once protectors of peace but now tyrants ruling with fear. Princess Elizabeth Liones escapes the capital in search of the legendary warriors known as The Seven Deadly Sins — a group of elite knights accused years ago of planning to overthrow the kingdom.

Branded as traitors and feared across Britannia, the Sins vanished without a trace.

When Elizabeth reaches a small tavern called The Boar Hat, she meets a seemingly carefree owner — Meliodas. But beneath his childish behavior lies terrifying, unmatched power. He is the Dragon’s Sin of Wrath, the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Together, they embark on a journey to reunite the scattered Sins, uncover the truth behind the Holy Knights’ rebellion, and save the kingdom from its internal corruption. As allies join them — from the loyal giantess Diane to the sarcastic talking pig Hawk — the adventure reveals old wounds, ancient conspiracies, and Meliodas’s mysterious connection to the Demon Clan.

Season 1 blends tension, humor, magic, and heartbreak as it builds toward a rebellion that shakes the kingdom and sets the stage for the larger world of goddesses, demons, curses, and destiny.
