Satoru Mikami, a 37-year-old salaryman in Tokyo, is killed in a random stabbing and reincarnates in a fantasy world—not as a hero, but as a slime, the weakest of monsters.

Reborn as Rimuru Tempest, he gains powerful abilities like "Predator" (absorbing abilities) and sets out to explore this new world. Rimuru soon befriends dragons, ogres, goblins, and demons, eventually founding the Jura Tempest Federation, a peaceful nation of monsters.

Over time, Rimuru battles human kingdoms, demon lords, and god-like entities—all while seeking peace, equality, and prosperity for all beings.
